Kid Icarus

Grade: A

Second Opinion: Agent J: B+

Reviewer: Agent K

Company: Nintendo

Rarity: Not that Rare

Expertise: Beat game twice through

This game is one of the best platformers out there. The only drawback is how short the game is with only 4 levels and the last level having no sublevels. However you can get a credit card and haggle with merchants.

Graphics and Sound: Very solid.

The graphics are fine for a NES game. They certainly don't detract from the fun or gameplay in any way. The flying faces are kind of neat and the eggplant heads are nice too.

Gameplayand Controls: Pretty Good

The controls are very responsive and precise. But there is one problem, if you duck on a cloud you will fall through it and the first time it happens you will be peeved to say the least.

Fun?: Very

Personally I love this game. It's very fun. You can buy stuff, earn stronger arrow. There are even three different parts. Each level has 4 sub level and the 4th sub level is set up differently. The end level is even different from that.

Challenge: Pretty Good

Theis game can be quite hard at the start. However, once you really start grooving the game is over and you've beaten it. So it is challenging without being too hard, but is pretty short.

Features: Many Cool Ones

There are lots of cool things to do in this game. You can buy feathers so you don't die when you fall, extra life containers, tons of other stuff. You also get arrow powerups when you do well. You also get three magical items throughout the game which help you out.

Replay: Not a lot

The only real drawback of this game is that it's too short and there isn't much replay value. Once you've beaten it, you can continue through a second time. But that's even easier than the first time because nothing changes, it just gets a little harder and you are way tougher.

2 Player: None

I guess you can watch your pal, but that isn't that fun.

Online Manual?: Yup

Just go to one of the manual sites. TSR's site definitely has it. Also there is a very cool shrine at Flying Omelette's Kitchen.

Bottom Line: Buy this game

Fun, fun, fun. It's a little hard at first but it is extremely fun.
